Highland Wildcat is a community company established
in September 2005 to promote leisure and recreation in Sutherland
for the benefit of public health and the rural economy..
Over the past year this has been achieved by the
development of mountain bike trails centred on the village of
Golspie. This proposal had previously received the unanimous support
of the people resident in Caithness & Sutherland as well as
others from further afield who could see the strategic importance
of the location in terms of its accessibility and relationship
with other mountain bike centres.
With Dunrobin Castle, beaches, golf courses and
other visitor attractions nearby, Golspie offers an historic and
culturally significant setting for promoting recreational tourism
into the 21st Century.
